Snorkeling Fools!

Whenever Dave feels like he can't beat his head against the computer for another minute, we take a day trip out to go sailing and snorkeling. For his sanity's sake. We went out Saturday, only to get pushed out by two catamaran's full of spring break snorkelers. Between them blaring their music and hearing them scream through their snorkels, we were lucky to get in the water a couple hours before they came.

 Queen Parrotfish

I haven't yet been able to identify these guys

I think this one is a Blue Tang

 Perch?

Underneath the boat, there were massive groups of Sergeant Majors and Yellowtail Snappers. The black and white was the only way to give this photo the depth it needed. They were completely fearless of us - we could swim freely among them like we were part of their school.

More Sergeant Majors.

I wanted to get a shot of what The Fluff looks like from the coral's point of view while she's cruising around in the water. This mission isn't over yet. I'll get a good shot of it here soon.

  2. Great pictures! I'm pretty sure that dark blue and black fish is a midnight parrot fish. They're so gorgeous!
