Some beautitul photos of our boat, compliments of Wee Happy

On our trip to Bahia Honda with the street gang of 27 footers, we took videos and photos of Wee Happy. They, naturally, returned the compliment. It's not everyday you get to see your own boat while it's out on the water. Thanks guys!

We find that it works better if I'm at the helm, and Dave takes control of sheeting the sails. Why? I get sea sick. Lucky me. I had always prided myself on an iron stomach; I've either out grown that luxury or am poorly equipped for a life at sea (no plans to stop due to this condition). I'm sure that I'll be able to overcome this in time, hopefully sooner rather than later.

Ironically, Dave prefers the helm and I prefer the sails. We find that we're both better at the other one's desired position. Our plan is to get comfortable and familiar with what we have naturally taken to, then once that's accomplished, we'll switch roles. Just to add to the crazy! Also, we figured it'll make us better at sailing. Win, win.

In this photo, we're wing n' wing. This means that our jib (front sail) is angled one direction, and our mail sail is angles the opposite. It's a bitchin' way to sail, and is a little tricky to stay in the right wind for it. When you lose it, the boom (horizontal mast holding the main sail) goes whipping to the other side. Makes for a great opportunity to have your head crack by the boom. No bueno.
